This Thursday, 1/31, we introduced our latest Makerspace Challenge. Soon, I will test our creations in the real world, letting my kitties decide which design is most durable and/or intriguing. PROBLEM: My cat is CONSTANTLY sitting on my laptop or walking across the keyboard. It drives me crazy! Sometimes, she’ll accidentally hit the “delete” key and all my lesson plans and hard work go “poof!”. MAKERSPACE CHALLENGE: Make a LAPTOP KITTY BARRIER that will prevent my cats from walking on my laptop when I’m working.
CRITERIA:
Let's take a look and see what our 4th grade engineers came up with! As soon as I got home and put the projects down, the kitties were all over them! So curious! 1. Go to kiddle.co
2. Type in the name of the animal you want for your page. 3. Go to the "images" tab. 4. Hold down control and click on the picture you like. 5. Click "save image as..." and type in a name (ex: "tree frog pic"). 6. Save to your desktop as a jpeg. 7. Now go to your weebly blog editor. 8. Click on the section you want to add a photo to. 9. Select "edit image". 10. Upload the photo from your desktop. You're all done! :) Hello 4th graders!,
Today we're going to use the Chromebooks and weebly.com to create your very own student blog! I'm so excited to start this classroom routine and incorporate technology into our daily learning. For now, I just need you to open a web browser and go to the following site: |
